INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for Construction of the new Raleigh County Sheriff Headquarters building, will be received in the office of the Raleigh County Commission, 116-1/2 N. Heber Street, Beckley, WV 25801 on Monday, December 14, 2020 until 4:00pm. All complete bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Raleigh County Commission on December 15, 2020
at 10:00am.
All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Owner.

The project involves site developments and construction of a new 27,000 square foot, steel framed 1-story building.
Bidders interested in submitting bids shall contact the Architect. Email Bid Package requests to Rachel Driggs [email protected] and a Bid Package will be sent out. There is no deposit required for Bid Packages and all printing costs incurred by bidders are the responsibility of the bidders and are non-refundable.
A certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid must be submitted with each Bid.
The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract award, and a Maintenance Bond for the 100% of the new roof value.
All Prime Contractors and Subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with SB409 (WV Contractor’s Licensing Act). All General Contractors shall provide a copy of their WV Contractor’s license and include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form. A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Beckley – Raleigh County Convention Center, 200 Armory Drive, Room C, Beckley, WV 25801. All bidders must attend the Pre-Bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. Attendance at the Pre-Bid meeting is mandatory for bid qualification.
After the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, no Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days.
