NOTICE OF SCHOOL BUS AND SURPLUS EQUIPMENT SALE
The Upshur County Board of Education will offer for sale, through sealed bid, the following surplus vehicles:
— Bus No. 39 – 1998 International 3800 Bus; Special Need with Wheelchair lift International T444E, 210 HP engine; AT545 4 spd. Auto Trans.; 14 passenger Blue Bird body; Air Brakes; 195058 miles. 2 Wheelchair spaces (1 left rear, 1 right front) Wheelchair lift in right rear 6-2 passenger seats
— Bus No. 41 – 1999 Freightliner FS-65 Bus; Caterpillar 3126B, 230 HP engine; FS-6305A 5 spd. Manual Trans.; 77 passenger Blue Bird body; Air Brakes; 136804 miles.
— Bus No. 44 – 2000 Freightliner FS-65 Bus; Caterpillar 3126B, 230 HP engine; FS-6305A 5 spd. Manual Trans.; 77 passenger Blue Bird body; Air Brakes; 144702 miles.
All buses and vehicles will be offered in “as is” condition, without warranty, expressed or implied. The Upshur County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw any vehicle from the sale.
Potential buyers may inspect these vehicles between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Mondays through Fridays, beginning March 16, 2015 through March 20, 2015 at the Upshur County School Bus Garage in Tennerton and may call Paul Johnston, Chief Mechanic, with any questions at 304-472-1544 ext. 3.
Sealed bids will be accepted through 12:00 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2015. Bids should be clearly labeled on the envelope, “Bus/Equipment Bids”, and may be mailed or hand delivered to the Board of Education office or transportation department any time prior to the deadline.
Sealed bids will be opened publicly at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Upshur County Board of Education office, located at 102 Smithfield Street, Buckhannon, West Virginia. Payment may be made in cash or by check, payable to the Upshur County Board of Education and mailed to 102 Smithfield St., Buckhannon, WV 26201.
