Project 1- Location: Frankfort Middle School HVAC/Water Source

Mineral County Schools is seeking bids for the following project:

The Mineral County Board of Education, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the HVAC/Water Source Heat Pumps and Return Air Units replacement at Frankfort Middle School, located at 356 Golden Drive Ridgeley, WV 26753. Sealed bids will be received at the Support Services Office, 1207 Harley O Staggers Drive, Keyser, West Virginia 26726 until 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, on May 2, 2025, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read. The deadline for Bidders’ questions will be 12:00 p.m. May 1, 2025. Project number must be noted on bid and envelope.

The following items will need replaced:

1). Eight (8) Water Source Heat pumps

2). Three (3) Return Air Units

A scope of work can be obtained by one of the following methods: 1. Contract Bidders may contact John Droppleman or Jay Harris at the Mineral County Schools Support Service Office, 304-788-4210 or cellular phone and request information be sent via email about the Frankfort Middle School project. 2. A copy may be obtained at the Support Services Office located at 1207 Harley O Staggers Drive Keyser, WV 26726.

Bidders must visit the site so a proper assessment of the project can be determined.

Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids in order for their Bid to be considered. All bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in the State prior to submitting a bid for this project as required by Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each Bidder’s Contractor license number shall be included within their Bid proposal.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 60 days after opening bids. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall, prior to the signing of a contract, provide a clearly planned schedule of construction and completion of the project. The owner reserves the right to request a performance bond to ensure timelines are met and quality expectations are kept.
