The title of the proposed amendment is “Protection of persons against medically assisted suicide” and its summary purpose is “to protect West Virginians against medically assisted suicide.”

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
This is notice that on the 15th day of August, 2024 in the Raleigh County Commission Courtroom at 116 1/2 North Heber Street, Beckley, West Virginia, at 4:00 PM, the Planning and Zoning Commission of Raleigh County, West Virginia, will hold a public hearing to rezone 2.913 acres of property upon the application of Little General Stores, Inc. for the purpose of a Fueling Station and Convenience Store. The present zoning of the property to be affected is (R1) Rural/Residential and the proposed Zoning is to be (B1) Business/Commercial. The property to be affected is located along Flat Top Road & Odd Road, Ghent, Shady Spring District, Tax Map 46, Parcels 35.1, 35.2, 35.3, 36, 37 & Part of 35.4 Raleigh County, West Virginia.
Any person wishing to be heard concerning this matter should be present at the time and place indicated above.
