NOTICE OF PROPOSED
CONVEYANCE
OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Beaver United Methodist Church)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after February 10th, 2021 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY TO the Trustees of New Life Fellowship all of their right, title and interest in those certain tracts or parcels of land situate in Shady Spring District, Raleigh County, West Virginia and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit
PARCEL ONE
The surface of those certain lots or parcels of land situated on the waters of Big Beaver Creek in Shady Spring District, Raleigh County, West Virginia and being Lots Nos, Fifteen (15), Seventeen (17), Nine-teen (19), Twenty-one (21) and Twenty-three (23) of the Valley Addition as shown on a map thereof entitled “Revised Map of Valley Addition, Raleigh County, W. Va. developed by O. J. & Daisy Myrtle Massie, Scale 1″ = 60′, Oct. 31, 1945”, which map is of record in the office of the Clerk of the County Commission of said County in Map Book No. 8 at page 198.
And being the same property conveyed to the Trustees of Beaver Methodist Church from O.J. MASSIE and DAISY MYRTLE MASSIE by Deed dated the 13th day of July, 1951 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 302, at page 295.
PARCEL TWO
The surface of that certain lot or parcel of land situate in Beaver City, Shady Spring District, Raleigh County, West Virginia, and being Lot No. 340 as shown and designated on a map of said Beaver City of record in the Clerk’s Office of the County Commission of Raleigh County, West Virginia, and to which map reference is hereby made for a more complete description; and which lot contains 10,800 square feet, more or less.
And being the same property conveyed to the Trustees of Beaver Methodist Church from H.C. LILLY by Deed dated the 13th day of December, 1956 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 363, at page 551.
PARCEL THREE
The surface of that certain lot or parcel of land situated in Beaver City, Shady Spring District, Raleigh County, West Virginia, and being Lot No. 338 as shown and designated on a map of Beaver City of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office.
And being the same property conveyed to the Trustees of Beaver Methodist Church from H. CLEVE LILLY by Deed dated the 22nd day of September, 1958 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 382, at page 165.
PARCEL FOUR
The surface of those certain lots or parcels of land situate in Beaver City, Shady Spring District, Raleigh County, West Virginia, and being Lots Nos. 334 and 336 as shown and designated on a map of said Beaver City of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office, and to which map reference is hereby made for a more complete description; and which lots contain 21,600 square feet, more or less.
And being the same property conveyed to the Trustees of Beaver Methodist Church from A.J. LILLY AND WINNIE E. LILLY by Deed dated the 3rd day of February, 1960 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 394, at page 140.
Said Beaver United Methodist Church was declared closed effective November 18, 2020 by resolution adopted by a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and the District Board of Church Location.
