Notice is hereby given that LEXINGTON COAL COMPANY, LLC, 1051 MAIN STREET SUITE 2, MILTON, WV 25541 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for a Phase 1 release on Permit Number U301807 issued for 20.57 acres.
The permit is located in Valley District of Fayette County, 11 miles northeast of Alloy (Nearest PO) on unnamed tributaries of Boomer Branch and Jarrett Branch (Primary Receiving Stream) of N/A (Secondary Receiving Stream) of the Upper Kanawha River (Major Drainage Basin).
LEXINGTON COAL COMPANY, LLC completed backfilling and regrading on 12/1/2020 and is requesting release of 60 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $56,280.00.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until April 24, 2021 or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
