Notice is hereby given that American Mining Group, LLC, P. O. Box 33, Spring Dale, WV 25986 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for the surface mining of approximately 214.31 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S300614 to coal surface mine with auger mining in the Pocahontas No. 3, Pocahontas No. 6, Pocahontas No. 7, Pocahontas No. 8, Pocahontas No. 9 and Firecreek seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of Sewell Creek of Meadow River of Gauley River of Kanawha River and is located 0.8 miles, northeast of Spring Dale in New Haven District of Fayette County, Longitude 80deg. 47′ 47″ and Latitude 37deg. 53′ 30″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until May 1, 2021, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
