Application for a certificate of convenience and necessity to operate as a common carrier by motor vehicle in the transportation of passengers by non-emergency medical transport in Harrison, Marion and Lewis Counties in West Virginia.
PUBLIC NOTICE
On February 10, 2025, Three— 16 NEMT, LLC (Applicant) filed an application with the West Virginia Public Service Commission (Commission), seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity to engage in the transportation of passengers by non-emergency medical transport. The proposed certificate and rates are as follows:
1. To operate as a common carrier by motor vehicle in the transportation of passengers in specialized multi-passenger van service to those who will or have received medical treatment and services at facilities between places listed above and their destination, including trips to a pharmacy, a grocery store and other events and services between points and places in Harrison, Marion and Lewis Counties on the one hand, and points and places in West Virginia, on the other hand, subject to the following exclusion: the transportation of those individuals who have medical needs greater than those of the average population and who are expected to require the presence of a trained emergency medical technician during the transport.
2. Rates: $40.00 (base rate) plus $1.20 per mile
Anyone desiring to protest or intervene should file a written protest or request to intervene withing ten days following the date of this publication unless otherwise modified by Commission order. All protests or requests to intervene should briefly state the reason for the protest or request to intervene. Requests to intervene must comply with the rules on intervention set forth in the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure. All protests and requests to intervene should be addressed to Karen Buckley, Executive Secretary, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia, 25323.
In the absence of substantial protest received within ten days of this publication, the Commission may waive formal hearing and grant the application based on the Commission’s review of the evidence submitted with the application.
