PLEASANT VALLEY WATER LINE UPGRADE – (PHASE I)
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for PHASE I of the replacement of the City of Fairmont’s existing water line in Pleasant Valley, WV will be received, by the City of Fairmont, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 901 Howard Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554, until 10:00 am local time on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.
The project consists of constructing approximately 2,400 LF of 12” water line, reconnection of eight water lines of various sizes, reconnection of 12 existing service lines, gate valves, hydrants, driveway repairs, and road crossings, and related appurtenances.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bidders shall submit a Bid on a unit price basis for each item of Work listed in the unit price section of the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc (CEC), 120 Genesis Boulevard, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available electronically via email/ftp link (as portable document format (PDF) files) free of charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $300 per set, payable to Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am local time on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the City of Fairmont Water Treatment Plant Conference Room located at 1400 Pleasant Valley Rd., Fairmont, WV 26554. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
