Sealed bids for painting at Beckley Stratton Middle School will be received by the Raleigh County Board of Education, 104 Allen Avenue, Beckley, West Virginia, 25801 no later than Friday, July 18, 2025, 3:00 pm EST. Bids will be opened and read aloud at this time.

Neither dating of bid form nor placing in mail by this date will meet requirements. Bid documents must be received on or before the date and time stated. Bidders must comply with all requirements and conditions set forth in the document package.

Bidding documents may be obtained at the Raleigh County Board of Education, Purchasing Department, 104 Allen Avenue, Beckley WV 25801 or downloaded from Raleigh County Website at www.boe.rale.k12.wv.us/page/rfp-bids.

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for interested Bidders and optional for interested sub-bidders or material suppliers. Product specifications will be discussed at this meeting; therefore, all bidders MUST attend to familiarize themselves with the Project conditions and other relevant information. Should any bidder fail to attend, its Bid will be disqualified. Questions may be directed to Michael D. Whisenant, Purchasing Director, for two (2) business days after the pre-bid meeting.

After the scheduled closing time of receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days.

Pursuant to Chapter 21 – Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the Contractors W.V. License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction Contracts or Agreements.

All bidders are required to furnish a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price if the bid is over $25,000.00. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in the amount of the contract price if the contract is over $25,000.00.

The Raleigh County Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its procurement policies, practices, or procedures. The Raleigh County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to make such selection by item or total bid amount as deemed to be in the best interest of Raleigh County Schools, and to purchase materials from vendors participating in state contract or cooperative.
