LEGAL NOTICE
REQUEST FOR ENGINEERING QUALIFICATIONS
Regional Optical Communications, Inc. (ROC) is in the process of obtaining qualifications from consulting engineering firms interested in providing general engineering services for regional broadband initiatives and planning. Services include, but are not limited to, technical advice, design services, route identification and delineation, partnership facilitation, “take rate” analyses, financial modeling, and all other services as requested by ROC.
Procurement of said services shall be in accordance with West Virginia Code Chapter 5G. All consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit detailed qualifications, including technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities and related prior experience.
The object of the competitive process is to objectively select the firm who will provide the highest quality of service. Accordingly technical qualifications and experience will be weighed heavily. Selected respondents will be interviewed and the firm judged most qualified will be selected.

Qualifications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2021.
Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project may be undertaken through funding sources including but not limited to Local, HUD/Small Cities Block Grant, Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Grant Program, the Economic Development Administration (EDA), the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council, USDA, Federal Communications Commission, and private entities.
