Request for Proposal
The Fayette County Board of Education is inviting qualified firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for providing Architectural/Engineering design services for capital improvements throughout Fayette County WV.
Qualified architectural design firms may submit a statement of qualifications to provide architectural/engineering design services for the above referenced project(s). These services will include design and construction administration and the county board of education will be using the process as required in West Virginia Code 5G-1-3. Submitting firms must follow the instructions as provided in Section IV of this document. All firms submitting proposals will be considered and those firms considered most qualified will be short-listed and will be interviewed by the selection committee for further qualifications.
Interested architectural/engineering design services may obtain a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) package outlining the submittal requirements, by contacting Superintendent Gary Hough at (304) 574-1176, extension 2122 before 3:00 p.m. (EST) on June 4, 2021. Instructions to bidders and selection criteria will be provided within the RFQ package. Expressions of interest will be received by Fayette County Schools no later than 3:00 p.m. (EST) on June 4, 2021. Submittals received after 3:00 p.m. (EST) June 4, 2021 will receive no consideration.
Upon review of bidder qualifications, experience, technical approach, design concept, and financial terms, Fayette County Schools will select a single architectural/engineering design service to develop a capital improvement plan for the county school system. The contract that may be entered into will be the most advantageous to Fayette County Schools. Fayette County Schools reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
