Notice is hereby given that Republic Energy, LLC, P.O. Box 69, Pax, WV 25904 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a Phase 1 release on Permit Number S301011 Increment Number 1 issued for 177.83 acres.
The permit is located in Cabin Creek District of Fayette County, 1.8 miles southwest (Direction) of Mahan (Nearest PO) on unnamed tributaries of/and Cedar Creek of Paint Creek, unnamed tributaries of Fifteenmile Creek of Paint Creek, Long Branch and unnamed tributaries of Paint Creek and unnamed tributaries of Cabin Creek (Primary Receiving Stream) of Cabin Creek (Secondary Receiving Stream) of Upper Kanawha River (Major Drainage Basin).
Republic Energy, LLC completed backfilling and regrading on August 6, 2021 (Date) and is requesting release of 60 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $366,000.
