TO ALL CITIZENS OF WYOMING COUNTY AND
STAKEHOLDERS OF WYOMING COUNTY SCHOOLS:
At the May 24, 2021, meeting of the Wyoming County Board of Education, the evaluation of Superintendent, Deirdre A. Cline, was completed. This evaluation was completed in compliance with WV Code 18-4-6, which requires County Boards of Education shall annually evaluate the performance of their superintendents.
Michael R. Prichard, President of the Board, stated that the Wyoming County Board of Education found, through its evaluation process, that Superintendent, Deirdre A. Cline, Exceeds Standards in all areas of the evaluation. Mr. Prichard stated that the Board is pleased with the work that Mrs. Cline has done on behalf of the students and employees of Wyoming County Schools and the Wyoming County Board of Education. Mr. Prichard said the school system has made tremendous progress under Mrs. Cline’s leadership and children will benefit from growth in reading programs, significant technology upgrades, including one to one devices for every student, and an “all hands on deck” approach to services for children. Additionally, Mr. Prichard said that Wyoming County Schools, under Mrs. Cline’s oversight, navigated the Covid pandemic with safety protocols and a team effort that has kept students and employees safe and focused on education. Mr. Prichard also stated the Board of Education values the vision and teamwork which is present with Mrs. Cline’s leadership and the Exceeds Standards rating highlights the Board’s appreciation.
