REQUEST FOR BIDS
The MERCER COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY (MCSWA) is currently seeking sealed bids for FIVE mesh sided cardboard recycling trailers. The Containers must meet the following minimum specifications:
– Length x width x height: 20′ x 6′ x 6′
– Main Frame: 3″ x 3″ x 0.25″ angle
– Cross members: 3″ x 2″ x 0.25″ angle on 24″ centers
– Side runner and top: 2″ x 2″ x 0.25″ angle
– Tongue: 4″ structural channel (5′ length)
– Deck: 20′ pressure treated deck floor or untreated oak floor.
– Rear Doors: (3) Total. (2) top doors barn style. (1) swing out at bottom back.
– Front Doors: (2) front barn style doors
– Sides and doors shall be covered with expanded metal mesh or approved equal.
– Hitch: minimum 2″ ball
– Jack: Ram 7,000 pound drop leg
– Axles: (2) Dexter 3,500 lb or approved equal.
– Brakes on at least one axle.
– Minimum 15″ tires with 6 lug wheels.
– Breakaway kit with 12 volt battery, with charge wire and LED test light.
– (2) 3/8″ safety chains with hooks and closures.
– 7 way wiring, run in conduit with junction boxes.
– Equipped with LED lights which meet all DOT requirements with tail light protector boxes.
– Cleaned, primed and painted dark blue.
– Provide a minimum of 1 year warranty.
– Delivered to the below address.
– Trailers shall come with individual titles and VIN numbers.
