AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that Panther Creek Mining, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a General Permit Modification for a coal preparation plant facility located on Elkridge Road off Armstrong Creek in Fayette County, West Virginia. The facility coordinates are as follows: Longitude -81.33639 and Latitude 38.07000.
The applicant estimates that the facility will have the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants: 25 tons particulate matter baseline emissions per year, 13 tons of point source emissions particulate matter less than 10 microns total per year, and 939 tons of the controlled facility emission total per year. Particulate Matter less than 10 microns facility emissions total is 281 tons per year.
Startup of the construction and operation is planned to begin upon permit approval. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
