PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
City of Oak Hill, West Virginia
MUNICIPAL SALES & USE TAX IMPLEMENTATION
Notice is hereby given by the City of Oak Hill, West Virginia, that it will hold a public hearing on September 13, 2021, at 6:30 pm in the Council Chamber at Oak Hill City Hall, 100 Kelly Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901.
The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the City of Oak Hill’s proposed 1% Municipal Sales and Use Tax Implementation. Information from this hearing will be utilized by the City of Oak Hill in its application to the West Virginia Home Rule Board. The Municipal Sales & Use Tax Implementation is available for public inspection at Oak Hill City Hall, Oak Hill, WV, beginning on July 29, 2021 between the hours of 7:00 am to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 pm. It will also be available on our web site at oakhillwv.gov.
All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing scheduled on September 13, 2021, at 6:30 p.m., and to present oral or written comments concerning the City of Oak Hill’s proposed implementation of municipal sales and use tax. Written comments may be addressed to City Manager William Hannabass, 100 Kelly Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901.
The City of Oak Hill will consider all public comments in preparing the final draft of the ordinance and in deciding to proceed with an ordinance authorizing the City to submit the plan to the West Virginia Home Rule Board for its consideration and approval.
The first reading of Municipal Sales & Use Tax Ordinance took place July 12, 2021, during the City of Oak Hill Regular Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Oak Hill City Hall, 100 Kelly Ave., Oak Hill, WV.
