AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application

Notice is given that Appalachian Aggregates, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Modification to General Permit G40 C102A to include alternative operating locations to operate the portable units currently permitted at the Kelly Mountain Quarry near Elkins, Randolph County to also operating at Beckley Quarry in Mt. Hope, Raleigh County and Mercer Quarry in Princeton, Mercer County in West Virginia. The units may be used anywhere on the site. The following tables provide location information for each site:

The applicant estimates there will be a potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants: PM of 97.13 tons per year (tpy) of which 27.13 tpy is fugitive, PM10 of 41.39 tpy of which 8.26 tpy is fugitive, PM2.5 of 5.96 tpy of which 0.86 tpy is fugitive.

The facility will begin operation under the updated permit when the permit is issued. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Written comments will also be received via email at [email protected].
