REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Tazewell County, Virginia is requesting proposals for services from qualified engineering firms with experience in preparing Emergency Action Plans for dams. These services will be utilized to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines for Cavitt’s Creek Dam. The scope of these services includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

1. Prepare Emergency Action Plan for Cavitt’s Creek Dam
2. Prepare draft plans for drills and table-top exercises

Proposals shall include the following items:

1. Company overview
2. Proposed staffing of project
3. Statement of experience
4. Understanding of scope and project approach
5. Proposed project timeline
6. Relevant project experience
7. Relevant state, county, and local experience

Four (4) bound copies of the proposal should be submitted to the Tazewell County Engineer’s Office, located at 173 Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651 by October 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Proposals must be submitted by sealed envelope marked “Cavitt’s Creek EAP”. Prospective candidates will be selected and interviews will be held shortly thereafter. Tazewell County reserves the right to reject all proposals; waive informalities; and contract with the applicant whose proposal is in the best interests of Tazewell County.
