Notice is hereby given that KINGSTON MINING, INC., P.O. BOX 69, 622 PACKS BRANCH ROAD, PAX, WV 25904 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number U300601 in order to add approximately 1.02 acres for a proposed underground ventilation punchout and a a truck wash. The area in Shotgun Hollow will be within 100 feet of County Road 23/14.
The revised permit will discharge into Road Branch of/and White Oak Creek and Ewing Fork of Clear Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River and Milburn Creek and Shotgun Hollow of Paint Creek, all of Kanawha River (Receiving Stream) of KANAWHA RV (Major Subbasin) and is located 4.5 (miles), northwest (Direction) of Pax (Nearest PO), in the Valley District of Fayette County, Longitude 81o 18′ 36″ and Latitude 37o 57′ 57″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until January 22, 2022, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
