Notice is hereby given that Bluff Mountain Resources, LLC, 7103 Oakbrook Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 63.18 acres in order to surface mine and auger/highwall mine in the Sewell-New River seam of coal. Mining will also occur within 100 feet of County Route 1 (a public hearing may be requested
The proposed operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Lefthand Fork of Bluff Fork of Devils Fork of Guyandotte River, Miller Hollow and Sugar Camp Branch of Mash Fork of Camp Creek of Bluestone River of New River of Kanawha River and is located 5.1 miles, southwest of Odd in Slab Fork and Rock District of Raleigh and Mercer County, Longitude 81deg. 12′ 39″ and Latitude 37deg. 31′ 12″.

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until April 22, 2022, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
