2022-2023 Bituminous Asphalt (Plant Mix)
The Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County Virginia is currently accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform asphalt overlay paving with Bituminous Asphalt (Plant Mix) on various County maintained roads and various park roads within Tazewell County.
All those interested in bidding on the Bituminous Asphalt Overlay Schedule must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference meeting scheduled for 2:00 pm on March 23, 2022 in the Tazewell County Administration Building Board Room, Tazewell, Virginia 24651. A package containing additional information, including road lists, quantities, and locations will be handed out at that time. Due to CDC guidelines on Covid-19 only one employee shall attend the meeting to adhere to social distancing recommendations.
Bids must be received no later than 11:00 am on April 4, 2022 at which time the bids be opened in the board room of the Tazewell County Administration Building. The envelope must be clearly marked “Plant Mix Bid” and addressed to Kenneth Dunford Jr. Director of Engineering 173 Main Street, Tazewell VA 24651 Questions concerning the bid or pre-bid conference will be responded to by calling 276-385-1254. The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any informality, to reject any and all bids if it appears in Tazewell County’s best interest to do so, and accept only that bid deemed to be in the best interest of Tazewell County, Virginia.
