Notice is hereby given that MARFORK COAL COMPANY, LLC, PO BOX 457, 370 PACKVILLE/MARFORK ROAD, WHITESVILLE, WV 25209 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 24.38 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U301209 to Coal Underground in the Glen Alum seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributary of Workman Creek of Clear Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 2.34 miles, southwest of Clear Creek in Clear Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 deg. 22 ‘ 27 ” and Latitude 37 deg. 52 ‘ 43 ” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
