Notice is hereby given that REPUBLIC ENERGY, LLC, P. O. BOX 69, 622 Packs Branch Road, PAX, WV 25904 (Business Street Address) has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 847.40 acres in order to operate and reclaim and surface mine which includes highwall mining and augering (Surface/Tipple/Preparation Plant/Haulroad/Shop Area /Face up Deep Mine) in the 2 Gas—Kanawha;Cedar Grove—Kanawha;Chilton—Kanawha;Chilton A—Kanawha;Chilton RDR—Kanawha;Coalburg—Kanawha;Eagle—Kanawha;Eagle – Ltl—Kanawha;Eagle A—Kanawha;Peerless—Kanawha;Powellton—Kanawha;Stockton—Kanawha;Winifrede – U—Kanawha;2 Gas – Lwr—Kanawha seam of coal.
The proposed operation is discharging into UNNAMED TRIBUTARIES OF LEFT FORK, LEFT FORK, ROAD BRANCH, UNNAMED TRIBUTARIES OF WHITE OAK CREEK, ALL OF WHITE OAK CREEK OF CLEAR FORK OF BIG COAL RIVER OF COAL RIVER; AND UNNAMED TRIBUTARIES OF MILBURN CREEK, MILBURN CREEK, ALL OF PAINT CREEK (Receiving Stream) of KANAWHA RV (Major Subbasin) and is located 3 (Distance) miles, northeast (Direction) of Clear Creek (Nearest Post Office) in Clear Fork & Valley District of Raleigh & Fayette County, Longitude 81 19 46 Latitude 37 57 19
