This day came Petitioners Tshonia Blankenship and Dakota Blankenship by Timothy P. Lupardus, their attorney. Whereupon they tendered and asked leave to file their Petition, duly verified by oath together with the exhibits attached thereto, asking permission and authority of this Court for them to adopt Matthew Ryan Tolliver, an infant, whose name they seek to change to Matthew Ryan Blankenship, which Petition having been examined and inspected by the Court and found proper in form, is hereby ORDERED filed.
The Court ORDERED that a remote hearing on the matters rising upon such Petition will be held before the Honorable Edward Kornish, Judge of the Circuit Court of McDowell County, on May 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., by TEAMS. Should the biological father Anthony P. Kenney desire to participate, he should contact the Judge’s Secretary at (304) 436-8531 to obtain call-in information for this hearing.
The Clerk shall provide an electronic copy of this Order to counsel and mail a copy to Anthony P. Kenney at his last known address of PO Box 567, Pineville, WV 24874.
This Order constitutes NOTICE to Anthony P. Kenney that his parental rights may be terminated at this hearing based on his alleged abandonment of his child Matthew Ryan Tolliver. Petitioner should publish notice by publication of this hearing to Anthony P. Kenney, and file proof of notice by filing an Affidavit of Publication prior to the hearing.
