Notice is hereby given that Panther Creek Mining, LLC, 250 W Main Street, Suite 2000 Lexington, KY 40507 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 81.96 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840 for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S304387 to coal surface mine in the Chilton seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributary of/and Armstrong Creek of the Kanawha River and is located 3.1 (miles), southwest of Powellton in the Valley District of Fayette County, Longitude 81o 20′ 56″ and Latitude 38o 03′ 25″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until June 18, 2022, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
