Notice is hereby given that FOLA COAL COMPANY, L.L.C., PO BOX 180, 2112 LEATHERWOOD RD, BICKMORE, WV 25019 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 286.1 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S300207 to Surface Mine in the Winifrede, Coalburg, Stockton, Stockton A, Clarion, Kittanning and splits thereof seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Sugarcamp Branch of Rich Creek, Currycamp Fork of Bridge Fork of Rich Creek, Softwood Hollow of Bridge Fork of Rich Creek, Grassy Lot Hollow of Bridge Fork of Rich Creek, Un-named Tributaries of Rich Creek of Gauley River of Kanawha River and is located 2.5 miles, southeast of Swiss in Valley District of Fayette County, Longitude 81o, 7′, 10″ and Latitude 38o, 10′, 56″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until 6/20/2022, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
