Notice is hereby given that LEXINGTON COAL COMPANY, LLC, 1051 MAIN STREET SUITE 2, , MILTON, WV 25541 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 32 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number H047800 to Operate a Haulroad in the N/A seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into James Creek of West Fork of Pond Fork of Little Coal River and Upper Big Branch of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of the Kanawha River and is located 4.9 miles, northeast of Naoma, WV in Marsh Fork and Crook Districts of Raleigh and Boone Counties, Longitude 81deg. 34′ 33″ and Latitude 37deg. 53′ 55″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
