NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that ELK RUN COAL COMPANY, LLC, PO BOX 457, 370 PACKSVILLE MARFORK ROAD, WHITESVILLE, WV 25209 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 31.17 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U300213 to Coal Underground in the Cedar Grove seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of Long Branch and Long Branch of Clear Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River and is located 4.41 miles, southwest of Dorothy in Clear Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 deg. 23 ‘ 39 ” and Latitude 37 deg. 57 ‘ 57 ” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
