ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Fayette County Commission will receive sealed bids until 3:00 P.M., July 22, 2022, at the Fayette County Administrator’s Office, 100 N Court Street, Fayetteville, WV 25840, to be opened at 10:00 A.M., July 27, 2022, for the following work:
Dismantle and remove the existing structure, construction of new bridge abutments, pier, pier caps, a five (5) span pre-engineered steel pedestrian bridge, minor trail work, and related amenities as indicated in the Contract Documents prepared by Chapman Technical Group.
The total bid price shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Form of Proposal, Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract, Supplemental General Conditions and Detail Specifications and Drawings prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the required provisions will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Construction time limit is 180 calendar days.
Each prospective Bidder shall be required to acquire a minimum of one copy of the Bidding Documents which consist of plans and specifications. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following places:

Plans and Specifications may be obtained by each Bidder from the office of Chapman Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, telephone (304) 727-5501, or form the online Plan Room at www.chaptech.com, upon payment of a $50.00 non-refundable deposit.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference shall be held at the project site on July 6, 11:00 A.M. All prospective BIDDERS are required to attend the Pre-Bid Conference for the purpose of discussing the project and touring the project site.
All bidding documents shall be submitted in a single envelope addressed to the Owner marked with the following information in the lower left-hand corner:

No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a valid WV Contractor’s license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is
to be performed. The Fayette County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all Bids.
