AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that Summit Appalachia Operating Company, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Modification Permit pertaining to a Natural Gas Booster Station located on CR 2, Upper Sandlick Road, in Beckley, in Raleigh County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: 37.82655, -81.28843.
The applicant estimates no increase in the potential to discharge Regulated Air Pollutants because of a compressor engine change. The newly proposed facility wide potential to emit is estimated to be PM/PM10/PM2.5 0.125 TPY; NOx 7.73 TPY; CO 6.57 TPY; VOC 1.94 TPY; CO2e 1,628 TPY; n-Hexane 0.02 TPY; Formaldehyde 0.74 TPY; Total HAPs 0.98 TPY.
This is an after the fact modification application and startup of the replacement engine began on December 8, 2021. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
