Notice is hereby given that Resilient Mining, LLC, 1330 S Mayo TRL(Box 12), 3RD FL STE 302, Pikeville, KY 41501, has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 569.2 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S301705 to operate a surface mine in the Winifrede, Coalburg, Lower Stockton, Upper Stockton, and 5 Block seams of coal.
The operation is discharging into Open Fork, Glenco Hollow, Cokeoven Hollow, Right Fork of Beards Fork, and unnamed tributaries of/and Loop Creek of the Upper Kanawha River and is located 2.0 miles, northeast of Kincaid in the Valley district of Fayette County, Longitude 81deg.14’20” and Latitude 38deg.3’0″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
