Notice is hereby given that MARFORK COAL COMPANY, LLC, PO BOX 457, 370 PACKVILLE/MARFORK ROAD, WHITESVILLE, WV 25209 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 109.59 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S301709 to Coal Surface Mine in the No. 2 Gas and Powellton seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Hazy Creek, Gibbs Camp Branch, Falling Rock Hollow, Rock Heap Hollow, Upper Millseat Hollow and unnamed tributaries of Hazy Creek of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of coal river of Kanawha River and is located 3.8 miles, west of Naoma, WV in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 deg. 33 ‘ 11 ” and Latitude 37 deg. 50 ‘ 41 ” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
