NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON PROPOSED ORDINANCE
TO ALL CITIZENS OF THE
CITY OF MANNINGTON:
The Mannington City Council, at a regular session held Monday, September 19, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 206 Main St., Mannington, introduced and read for the first time a proposed ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANNINGTON REGARDING MUNICIPAL SALES AND SERVICE TAX.
Copies of the proposed ordinance are available to the public at the City Clerk’s Office, 206 Main St., Mannington between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
A public hearing on said ordinance will be held during the council meeting on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. All parties and interests may appear at said public hearing and be heard as to whether or not this proposed ordinance shall be enacted. After all objections and suggestions are heard, City Council shall take such action as it deems proper. Non-English-speaking persons who wish to attend should contact the City so that proper accommodations can be made. A TDD is available for the hearing impaired. If adopted, the Ordinance shall become effective upon passage. However, City Council will suspend imposition and collection of the municipal sales tax imposed by this ordinance until July 1, 2023, or such later first day of July as required by the legislative rule codified in WV Code St R 110-28-1 et seq.
