Notice is hereby given that Panther Creek Mining, LLC, 250 W. Main Street, Suite 2000, Lexington, KY 40507 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number S300795 in order to permit disposal areas for waste tires generated during the mining process on this permit.
The revised permit will discharge into Sycamore Branch and Toms Branch of Paint Creek and Armstrong Creek all of the Kanawha River and is located 2.50 miles southwest of Powellton in Valley and Cabin Creek District of Fayette and Kanawha County, Longitude 81deg. 21′ 38″ and Latitude 38deg. 04′ 02″.

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until December 4th, 2022, or ten (10) days from date of final publication.
