ORDER FOR SERVICE BY PUBLICATION ON UNKNOWN FATHER

Based upon the written motion filed by the Commissioner of the Vermont Department for Children and Families and the accompanying affidavit, the Court finds that service of process upon Dana Beede cannot, with due diligence, be made by any of the methods prescribed in V.R.C.P. 4(d) through (f).
It is, therefore, ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED that service of process shall be made upon the Uknown Father of J.S, a child born on April 20, 2013, to S.S. at Raleigh General Hospital, by publication pursuant to V.R.C.P. 4(g). for the notice of a hearing to terminate all parental rights of the parents of J.S. The Unknown Father is hereby notified that the hearing to consider the termination of parental rights for J.S. will be held on February 3, 2023, at 2:30 pm at the Vermont Superior Court, Washington Family Division, 255 North Main St, Suite 1, Barre, VT 05641. To be obtain a copy of the petition to terminate parental rights as well as to be heard on this matter the Unknown Father shall contact the Court and the Vermont Department for Children and Families at (802) 479-4260.The Unknown Father is notified to appear in connection with this case. Failure to appear and defend at this hearing will result in the termination of parental rights to child J.S. Other parties to this case J.S. and the Vermont Department for Children and Families. DCF is represented by the Attorney General’s Office, HC 2 North, 280 State Drive, Waterbury, VT 05671-2080.
This Order shall be published for two (2) consecutive weeks in the Register-Herald, a newspaper of general circulation in Raleigh County, West Virginia, reasonably calculated to give notice to the Unknown Father. A copy of this order shall be mailed to the Uknown Father if his identity can be determined.
The action at bar may result in a judgment entered by the Court against him.
