AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that Marfork Coal Company, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a General Permit Modification for a preparation plant and railcar load out facility located on Route 3/1, near Pettus in Raleigh County, West Virginia. The facility coordinates are as follows: latitude 37.946111 and longitude -81.515000.
The applicant estimates the increase in the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be: particulate matter baseline emissions of 3 tons per year, point source emissions particulate matter less than 10 microns total of one ton per year, and the controlled facility emission total of 469 tons per year. The facility emissions total for Particulate Matter Less Than 10 Microns will increase 129 tons per year.
Startup of operation is planned to begin upon permit approval. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
