Notice is hereby given that Panther Creek Mining, LLC, 250 W. Main Street, Suite 2000, Lexington, KY 40507 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1101 George Kostas Drive, Logan, WV 25601, for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 18.92 acres in order to add the Little Eagle Coal Seam for contour surface mining with auger/highwall mining and two additional bench fills in the Little Eagle seam of coal. The proposed operation is discharging into Left Fork and Right Fork of Armstrong Creek and Unnamed Tributaries of/and Armstrong Creek of Kanawha River and is located 3.1 miles southwest of Powellton in the Valley District of Fayette County, Longitude 81deg. 19′ 39″ Latitude 38deg. 02′ 49″.

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until March 25, 2023, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
