Notice is hereby given that Prime Met, Inc., 836 Euclid Avenue, Suite 302, Lexington, KY 40502 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number S401396 in order to add 13.37 acres (new total to be 305.66 acres) to add small spoil storage areas between seams and to add four small spoil storage areas below the outcrop of the lowest seam to be mined.
The revised permit will discharge into Laurel Fork of Guyandotte River and is located 1.8 miles, Northeast of Glen Rogers, in the Slab Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81o 23′ 57″ and Latitude 37o 44′ 6″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until April 7, 2023, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
