Notice is hereby given that SOUTHERN MINERALS, INC., PO BOX 770, 356 S COLLEGE AVE, BLUEFIELD, WV 24701 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 4.11 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O400607 to operate an existing refuse disposal area in the N/A seam of coal. The operation discharging into an unnamed tributary of Road Fork of South Fork of Tug Fork River and is located 2.3 miles, Southwest of Jenkinjones in Adkin District of McDowell County, Longitude 81o27’54” and Latitude 37o16’27” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
