Notice is hereby given that Panther Creek Mining, LLC, 250 West Main Street, Suite 2000, Lexington, KY 40507 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 1101 George Kostas Drive, Logan, WV, 25601 for a Phase 1 release on Permit Number S300800 Increment Number 8 issued for 10 acres.
The permit is located in the Cabin Creek and Clear Fork District(s) of Kanawha and Raleigh Counties, 0.7 miles northwest (Direction) of Dorothy (Nearest PO) on Unnamed Right Fork of Rockhouse Creek; Unnamed Tributary of Rockhouse Creek, Rockhouse Creek; Unnamed Left Fork of Gardener Branch; Unnamed Right Fork of Gardner Branch; Gardner Branch; Laurel Branch all of Clear Fork, (Primary Receiving Stream) of Big Coal River (Secondary Receiving Stream) of Kanawha River (Major Drainage Basin).
Panther Creek Mining, LLC completed backfilling and regrading on 3/21/2023 (Date) and is requesting release of 50 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $10,000.00.
