Notice is hereby given that ICG BECKLY, LLC, 2221 OLD ECCLES RD, ECCLES, WV 25836 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 183.81 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O009583 to operate a refuse area in the N/A seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Millers Camp Branch of Marsh Fork of Big Coal of Coal River and is located 0.50 miles, northeast of ECCLES in TRAP HILL District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 o 15 ‘ 49 ” and Latitude 37 o 47 ‘ 10 ” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until July 1, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until July 1, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above AND in the Raleigh County Clerk’s Office(s) during normal business hours.
