Notice is hereby given that Midland Trail Resources, LLC, 100 Bill Baker Way, Beckley, WV 25801 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 9.04 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U300897 to operate and maintain a deep mine in the Pocahontas No. 6 seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into unnamed tributary of/and Little Sewell Creek of Meadow River of Gauley River of Kanawha River and is located 1.5 miles, southwest of Rupert in Meadow Bluff District of Greenbrier County, Longitude 80deg.43’35” and Latitude 37deg.57’27”.

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until 07/01/2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
