Notice is hereby given that JACKS BRANCH COAL COMPANY, PO BOX 150, CANNELTON, WV 25036 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1101 George Kostas Drive, Logan, WV, 25601 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number S004577 in order to
revise the Primary post mining land use to Public Service.
The revised permit will discharge into Hughes Fork of Bells Creek of Twenty-mile Creek of Gauley River of Kanawha River. (Receiving Stream) of KANAWHA RV (Major Subbasin) and is located 3.6 (miles),
Northeast (Direction) of Cannelton (Nearest PO), in the Cabin Creek and Valley Districts of Kanawha and
Fayette Counties, Longitude 81deg. 17′ 26″ and Latitude 38deg. 13′ 01″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until 7/15/2023, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
