The City Council Chambers are accessible to persons with physical disabilities. The purpose of the public hearing is to present the City of Beckley’s FY 2023 Annual Action Plan for the use of CDBG funds. The City intends to submit its FY 2023 Annual Action Plan in the amount of $292,696 for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The FY 2023 Annual Action Plan will be submitted to HUD on or before August 15, 2023.
In order to obtain the views of residents, public agencies, and other interested parties, the City of Beckley will place its FY 2023 Annual Action Plan on display from June 7, 2023, through July 7, 2023, at the following locations during normal operational hours:

The CDBG budget for FY 2023 may be accessed at the City of Beckley’s website: http://www.beckley.org.
The FY 2023 Annual Action Plan will be available for examination during normal business hours of operation for a period of thirty (30) days until July 7, 2023. The FY 2023 Annual Action Plan will be presented to the Beckley City Council for approval at its regularly scheduled City Council Meeting on July 11, 2023, at 6:30 PM.
The proposed FY 2023 Annual Action Plan was prepared after conducting a public hearing on housing and community development needs and meetings with agencies, and City staff and officials.
All interested persons, groups, and organizations are encouraged to attend this public hearing and will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony concerning the proposed plan and uses of Federal funds under the FY 2023 Annual Action Plan.
