Notice to Bidders

The Common Council for the City of Beckley is accepting bids from qualified firms for the purchase of an incinerator and accessories including oversight of the installation, assistance with any permit processing and training. The incinerator should also come with a minimum one-year warranty. The incinerator will be used for destruction/disposal of no longer needed evidence which can include but is not limited to drugs, drug paraphernalia, bio-hazard items such as clothing, etc.

Complete specifications and bid information may be obtained from Captain David Farley at the Beckley Police Department by calling 304-256-1708, between the hours of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Bids will be received until 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. They will be publicly opened and read aloud during a meeting of Common Council at 6:30 pm that same day. Bids must be submitted to the Recorder-Treasurer in sealed envelopes clearly marked to indicate contents. Bids may be hand delivered to 409 South Kanawha St., or mailed to P.O. Box 2514 Beckley, WV 25802-2514. Any bids that arrive after the specified date and time will not be considered.

The City of Beckley reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of any bid without cause.
