TAZEWELL COUNTY, VIRGINIA
Request for Qualifications for Professional Services
Tazewell County, Virginia is requesting proposals for services from qualified environmental firms with experience in complete groundwater monitoring services. These services will be utilized to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for the Tazewell County Landfill. The scope of these services is as follows but may not be limited to:
(1) *Sampling and Field Activities (including Assessment Monitoring)
(2) Laboratory Analysis
(3) Potentiometric Modeling and Groundwater Velocity Evaluations
(4) Data Reduction and Statistical Evaluation
(5) Regulatory Interaction/Reporting

Other activities that may be required include:
(a) Review and evaluate historical groundwater monitoring data
(b) Perform verification sampling events when required
(c) Prepare alternate source demonstrations
(d) Additional sampling
(e) Additional monitoring and reporting
Proposals shall include the following:
(1) Company Overview
(2) Proposed staffing of project with statement of experience
(3) Scope understanding and project approach
(4) Proposed Project Timeline
(5) Relevant Project Experience
(6) Relevant Local, State, County Experience
Four (4) bound copies of the proposal should be submitted to the Tazewell County Engineer’s Office, located at 173 Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651 by 2:00 PM on December 1, 2020. Proposals must be submitted by sealed envelope marked “Complete Groundwater Monitoring Services”. Prospective candidates will be selected and in-person or virtual interviews will be held shortly after the December 1, 2020 deadline. Tazewell County reserves the right to reject all proposals; waive informalities; and contract with the applicant whose proposal is in the best interests of Tazewell County, Virginia.
