Notice is hereby given that Performance Coal Company, LLC, PO Box 457, 370 Packsville Marfork Road, Whitesville, WV 25209, has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840 for a Phase 1 release on Permit Number U306087 issued for 18.07 acres. The permit is located in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, 3 miles Southwest of Naoma on Hazy Creek of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River. Performance Coal Company, LLC completed backfilling and regrading on 11/17/2021 and is requesting release of 60 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $19,000.00.
