Notice is hereby given that MARFORK COAL COMPANY, LLC, PO BOX 457, 370 PACKVILLE/MARFORK ROAD, WHITESVILLE, WV 25209 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 3.75 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U300318 to Coal Underground in the Powellton—Kanawha seam of coal.The operation is discharging into Beetree Branch of/and Little Marsh Fork of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 2.0 miles, southwest of Dorothy in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 ° 28 ‘ 39 “ and Latitude 37 55 ‘ 39 “ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
