NOTICE OF PROPOSED
CONVEYANCE
OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Harvey United Methodist Church)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after December 21, 2023 QUITCLAIM, GRANT AND CONVEY to Trustees of Harvey Community Church, all of their right, title, and interest, in a to that certain lot or parcel of real estate in Plateau District, Fayette County, West Virginia, and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit:
All that certain piece or parcel of real estate lying and being at or near Harvey, in Plateau District, Fayette County, West Virginia, and Known as LOT NO. ONE HUNDRED ONE (101) of the Harvey-Prudence Subdivision as shown on a map thereof recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Fayette County, West Virginia in Map Book 7, at Pages 6 and 7.
And being the same property conveyed to Trustees of the Methodist Church by Deed dated January 19, 1956 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Fayette County, West Virginia in Deed Book 197, at Page 409, reference to which is hereby made.
SAID Harvey United Methodist Church was declared closed effective August 1, 2023 by a vote of a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
